Student and Youth Contingent for the March on the RNC

Demonstrate at the Republican National Convention September 1, 2008 St Paul, MN

  • U.S. Out of Iraq Now! Money for human needs, not for war!
  • Say no to the Republican Agenda! Demand peace, justice and equality!

Immigrant Rights Contingent / Bloque pro-inmigrante

Join the Labor Contingent!

Sisters and Brothers:

The Republican National Convention will take place in St. Paul, MN beginning on Labor Day, 2008. Choosing to begin on Labor Day is an insult to all working people who have been suffering under Republican policies. We need to join the thousands that will be out in the street. As the economy is falling apart Washington continues to fund the war and bailout corporations rather than helping working people who are losing jobs to outsourcing and their houses to predatory lenders. Twin Cities unions are organizing a labor contingent for the September 1 march.

Colombia Action Network to March on the RNC

The Colombia Action Network is issuing the following call for protests at John McCain's campaign events and at the Republican National Convention, September 1-4 in St. Paul, MN. McCain arrived in Colombia on Tuesday and is promoting his close relationship to death squad leader Colombian President Uribe as a campaign issue.

Hands Off Colombia! End Military Aid to Colombia Now!

March on the 2008 RNC in Solidarity with the People of Palestine

On September 1, the Republican Party will be in St. Paul, Minnesota for an
international media spectacle of the highest magnitude. More than 45,000
people, including 15,000 media employees, are expected to be on hand for
the 2008 Republican National Convention (RNC). Additionally, in protest,
tens of thousands of people will be outside of the convention. On that
day, Labor Day, the first in a series of marches to demonstrate against
the policies of the Republican Party will be held (for more information on
the large permitted march on 9/1, see: http://www.marchonrnc.org/).

Anti-Capitalist Bloc

The Anti-Capitalist Bloc will join the mobilizations throughout the RNC. Capitalism thrives on war, and it is the inherent character of capitalism that is creating the current economic crisis. The Anti-Capitalist Bloc advocates an economic system controlled collectively and democratically, and an end to the racism, sexism and violence of the capitalist system.

North country "Ice Bloc" to march on the RNC

Hey Twin Ports, North Shore, South Shore, Iron Range, Border Country... the Northland Anti-War Coalition (Duluth/Superior) and the Grand Rapids Peace Circle invite all northern Minnesotans and Wisconsinites (and heck, Yoopers too) to march on the RNC as one unified and impressively hardy bunch. We might have a reputation for being kinda reserved, but we ain't standing on the sidelines as our children are sent to war, our planet is plundered and more and more working people struggle just to get by. Let's show the Republicans and the world what we're made of, eh?

Unitarian Universalist Contingent

September 1st is an opportunity to stand together as a faith community for the ideals of peace, justice, human rights and ecological wisdom. Meet folks from Unitarian Universalist churches around the Twin Cities.

We'll gather at 11 am on the Capitol lawn near the corner of Rice and John Ireland. Our specific meeting place is the Roy Wilkins Memorial just north of that corner...and not to be confused with the auditorium several blocks away.
